Political advertisements, Dowdy and Redfearn, 1964
Advertisements for two political candidates, Rev. June Dowdy and L.T. Redfearn, whom the black communities supported for election to the offices of Tax Assessor and Sheriff, respectively, in the 1964 elections. These candidates lost, and the black communities blamed that loss on election irregularities caused by whites.
